Contractor of the Year Award
The Sheet Metal, Air Conditioning & Roofing Contractors Association of Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota awarded Dave McFarlane of McFarlane Sheet Metal in Grand Forks, North Dakota, its Outstanding Contractor Of the Year Award for 2002 at its annual winter membership meeting held January 11, 2002 in Minneapolis. A committee of previous winners of this award selects the Outstanding Contractor each year.
Mr. McFarlane was recognized for his service to the association, his contributions to the industry and community, and for his company's reputation of quality, integrity and technical performance. Mr. McFarlane has served on the SMARCA board for nine years. He currently serves on the national Building Systems Commissioning Committee which develops national policy for the National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB).
SMARCA is a regional trade association established in 1947 and represents 390 contributing sheet metal firms in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The majority of the member firms are involved in various phases of commercial/residential HVAC, process and Industrial sheet metal work. The SMARCA office is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
