History
McFarlane Sheet Metal was founded by Robert McFarlane in 1959. The business was founded as a sheet metal fabrication provider for the local milling industries.
In 1982, Dave McFarlane purchased McFarlane Sheet Metal from Robert McFarlane. He expanded the business further into the commercial and industrial Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning market with an emphasis on design build HVAC and TAB/Commission/Retro-Commissioning fields.
In 2007, Mitch Price purchased McFarlane Sheet Metal. At this time a residential/commercial/industrial Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning service division was started to more comprehensively serve our customers. With further expansion into energy services of Commissioning/Retro-Commissioning and Industrial Millwright/Processing work the company changed its name to McFarlane, Inc. in 2008. The name change was needed because McFarlane, Inc. has grown to be much more than a sheet metal company.
McFarlane, Inc. currently is an industry leader in the Grand Forks, ND region in industrial ventilation, industrial process and millwright installations, custom sheet metal welding/fabrication, commercial HVAC installations, design build HVAC, Test & Balance/Commissioning/Retro-Commissioning and residential/commercial/industrial HVAC service.
